A Prophecy of a Common Man

I am writing this at time when Narendra Modi is announced as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the BJP in 2013. This has given severe heartburn to the senior BJP politicians who have been sitting in the opposition for too long in their political career. The rise Modi seems indigestible by some as he come from a regional CM and being elevated to top position due to his popularity among the people and as an able administrator for the progressive state of Gujrat. He has come a long way, sacrificing personal life and living as a sanyasi, not just on philosophy but on development. A man who has a daunted past of riots in 2002, has been victim and only agenda of him being non secular for the opposition, for a country of billion people, it will always been unknown. The rise Mr. Modi comes from development and progress and the risk which he takes to give a better standard of living to the people. India will go to general election next year, Media has named the BJPs PM candidate already, despite the consensus of the party people. I think the media wants Modi to be the prime minister because from past ten years they have not heard anything from the PM of India.
Congress on the other hand will decide the PM candidate only after the results will come out, because Madam will decide in the end. With the expected shift in voting trend and the anti- congress wave in the country and thanks to Anna Hazare, Kejriwal and his team to open the eyes against the government, we dint get the Jan Lokpal bill yet, but we got one more option on the ballot machine next year, the AAP would not make much dent this year and it’s still premature to comment, but I am very proud and my faith in democracy was restored when I saw common man start his own party.
With the regional parties making noise in their grounds, we can’t rule out the possibility of the third  front taking the advantage over the congress, but the man of the moment is Modi and the NDA alliance seems to be the front runner to form the government next year.
I think Rahul Gandhi will debut as the leader of opposition before 2019 general elections, somewhere during 2018, he will not be made immediately this year but people who know politics too much will guess it right.
Modi will provide a clean administration for next five years, it will be difficult as it is not easy to run the country. I think he will create a remarkable history by passing the Jan Lokpal bill during his tenure, that’s when the India will turn around and will see the change, and there will be chaos in the country, not even god could save the government employees nor the politicians. People will be embarrassed, ashamed and might even cause family disturbances and the kids of those family will have to face the hardship of their life, they will hate modi for rest of their life for making their parent go to jail and the property been seized, people with weak heart will kill themselves to save embarrassment, for every corrupt person, the bill will…, I don’t know only time will tell.
Maybe if the punishment is less and the property is seized could save chaos, but not all people in the country are government  employees, that will bring cheer to them and Modi will be re-elected as PM for second consecutive term, then Rahul will have his second term as leader of opposition party.
India would have made significant progress and economy will prosper heavily as the government money will be put to right use finally after 70 years of independence, all the stashed black money will also come back and people will face lot of awkwardness and it might happen anonymously but this will happen as Modi has nothing to lose as will make this happen in his second term as PM, to gain the popularity and rise above all PM that India had ever seen. I also think the possibility of AAP in the coalition with NDA after Jan Lokpal bill has passed.
2025 will be the year when UPA or congress will return to power after 10 years and it come back strong, as in democracy it the people who decide and their will the vote change after ten years.
Rahul Gandhi will become the PM of the Superpower India 2025, as India will have beaten USA in economic growth and will be next to china in the growth rate, Asia will be the new destination for growth with India and china the two with the largest population in the world will dictated the world economy.  For the west which will then at the saturation stage in their growth, people from the west will move to east for opportunities as economic sun would have finally been risen.
As for our politics Rahul Gandhi will be our PM of super power and what a story for Gandhi family ruling the India since independence to bringing it to superpower, off course with the help of Mr Modi doing all the ground work before India will enjoy that status.
I don’t what would happen to teenage third front parties or the toddler AAP in the political future of India as compared to BJP & Congress at the moment, only time will answer it.
I am very proud to be a citizen of the country where every 50miles the food and the language changes and there is extreme unity in this diversity. I don’t wish to go to west for the great dream, when I am in the great Indian dream at this moment in my life time.

I am neither an astrologer nor a politician to write this unpredictable prophecy, I am not a writer nor a expert on things which a wrote above, I am just a common ordinary person who knows just enough to put these alphabet into words.

Debate: the art of argument!

What is debate? It should be the first question that we should be able to answer it!
Debate means a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. In simplified words, a debate is a discussion that happens between two people, two different sides or viewpoints. One person or side speaks for the topic and the other person or side speaks against the topic.
The goal of authentic debate is the search for the truth; we are trying to find the best answer, it is an intelligent argument over a statement where you put forward your views.
Debate is not about making the other person look bad nor is trying to make yourself sound smart, debate is about comparing and contrasting the ideas.
It’s important to remember every time we debate, we are not arguing with the other person across the table, we are talking about the ideas, and that makes it a lot easier because when somebody says I disagree with you, they are not saying I don’t like you, Instead it means I think the idea which you have is wrong and here are reasons why I think that idea is wrong. It is same as a cricket match, I hit the ball of other team, it doesn’t mean I don’t like him; it is because he is on the other team and it’s just part of the game. We have to think of debate in the same way that we are not out to get the other team but we are out to get the idea which our team is trying to bring up.

Difference between Quarrel and Debate:
Quarrel makes a fight or a brawl, think about the argument with your parents, Let’s consider the following example: our parents say NO, you can’t go that movie, we say YES I want to, they say NO, you say YES I want to and it will go just back and forth. Usually the ultimate reasons our parents say we can’t go to movies is lot of times is because, “Well I am the parent, and I am the boss” end of story. All you are doing is going back and forth and saying YES, NO, YES, NO, but you are not actually getting anywhere in the discussion, that’s just a quarrel.
If you are having a rational argument, and say here is the reason why I think we should go for this movie or maybe I think this is why we should go to this place for vacation as a family, and your mom, your dad or siblings says I think we should go to this place and here’s my reason, suddenly we are not quarrelling or we are not just say I want my way, you want your way. But the difference is now we are actually trying to come to an agreement where we can be happy about it. It’s called debate.

Why should you debate?
We should try to figure out how to get up in front of any group of people and be able to share the things that we think are important, and that’s a key skill we could have in our lives. So learning how to talk to any audience no matter what that audience wants to hear from us is really valuable skill.

What are the things debate will teach you?
There are bunch of skills you are going to learn while debating, you will learn to research, you will learn to write as an asset, you will learn to think critically, you will be more informed, and you will be comfortable arguing with people in class, your family or anybody else. You will learn logic of conversation and art of persuasion, so you will know whether or not the thing said by someone is making sense.
You are going to build confidence; you will be comfortable standing up in front of any group of people and finally you will have fun. Debate is going to be fun may not sound right as there are other things too.
In reality debate is a lot of fun, you get to test out your mental strength and whether or not your mind is as strong as your leg and you get to test it out against other people in really friendly environment. The most important thing is that you will learn is to formulate words to convince other people about the things you believe in and in conclusion you learn the art of arguing without quarrelling.

Goodbye Google Buzz

Google said in a blog that it plans to kill Google Buzz and the Buzz API in a couple of weeks. The news isn’t surprising given the Twitter clone really never caught on and had to buzz off.
“In a few weeks we’ll shut down Google Buzz and the Buzz API, and focus instead on Google+,” the company said. “While people obviously won’t be able to create new posts after that, they will be able to view their existing content on their Google Profile, and download it using Google Takeout.”
The news arrives after Google recently said it plans to shut down additional services like Notebook, Aardvark, Google Desktop, Google Pack and others. Google added that Google Labs and the Code Search API will be discontinued in January 2012 as well as Jaiku, a product Google acquired back in 2007 that lets users send updates to friends, and the social features in iGoogle.
“Changing the world takes focus on the future, and honesty about the past,” Google said. “We learned a lot from products like Buzz, and are putting that learning to work every day in our vision for products like Google+. Our users expect great things from us; today’s announcements lets us focus even more on giving them something truly awesome.”
But the loss of Google Buzz is somewhat disappointing given that the service had potential. The problem Google likely faced was getting beyond the privacy fiasco that took place at launch. And unlike Google+, Buzz still isn’t visually incorporated into the navigational bar spanning across Google’s web services, thus it seemingly depends on Gmail users to keep tabs on the latest “buzz”.

Recession to loom amid bleak politico-economic outlook

Ever wondered what can happen to an economy, known for taking cautious approach, within a year? Economics defines recession as a business cycle contraction that occurs due to a general slowdown in economic activity. Problems that occurred in the West found its arms stretched all over the world. Developing countries, which were chasing their dreams to globalise found themselves caught in the contagion. West’s spending more than it was earning and increased risk appetite at the highest level was a problem in itself.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the world was about to end. Now it’s blue skies ahead in the West .
So how did this happen? Are the dark days gone for  investors? Or are they too optimistic now?
A Dow Jones sentiment indicator for the US suggests the latter more than the former.
ROLE SENTIMENT
Prior to late July 2011, it was a position that various structural forces pointed in the direction of a sustained, albeit slow, economic recovery. However, major sentiment shocks in Europe and the US have jeopardised the recovery dynamic.
As things stand right now, the economic slowdown caused by shocks to sentiment is still reversible. However, if the forces driving the deterioration persist – primarily uncertainty surrounding policy decisions in the US and Europe – the structural foundations of recovery will be jeopardised.
Consumer and business psychology is a critical factor in any economic recovery. The way people are feeling about the economic environment has an important impact on spending decisions – both quantity and timing. By the same token, the way business owners and managers are feeling about the business environment has a major impact on their decisions regarding investment and hiring.
Policy responses by the US Federal Reserve and Bank of England, as well as expectations that the European Central Bank will soon follow suit, have helped. So too is the view that China will be reversing its recent tightening policy as inflation there seems to be peaking and commentators start worrying about a hard landing.
One of the puzzles the Bank of England is wrestling with in the non-recovery is how much the British economy’s productive potential has been damaged by the financial crisis; and how much growth is likely to be held back by the debts that many households and firms are still carrying – despite David Cameron’s hastily rewritten scripture that people should pay their credit cards.
PENT UP DEMAND
This is the upside scenario for the US economy in the next few months. If policymakers can restore confidence in the US and Europe, pent-up demand could manifest, providing a considerable spark to the economy.
On the other hand, if confidence remains low and deteriorates further, decisions to postpone consumption and investment expenditure can go from being temporary to permanent. When this occurs, a “new normal” level of expenditure tends to be established at a lower level to match lowered expectations. This is how a recession manifests.
Sentiment has been declining clearly. It is roughly at a level that has marked off previous recessions, although the indicator’s recent pace of decline has not been quite fast enough to make it an incontrovertible call.
Maybe the Fed will have done enough to stave off recession. Perhaps the eurozone will sort out its banking crisis, helping lift the sentiment and prop up growth. But the trend hasn’t been a nice one and we’re now at levels on the ESI where people should be nervous.
People can get used to anything, and then start to take it for granted. When things are expected to carry on in a certain way, and don’t, they take a turn for the worse, there must always be a period of adjustment. America went through a long period of growth which came to an abrupt end, something people were not prepared for. It is just that people are feeling it more now, because they were living way beyond their means on credit, and credit was taken for granted. People were encouraged by credit card companys and mortgage lenders to take credit for granted. Then the rug was pulled. Consequently everyone fell hard, and now it hurts. The higher the fall the harder the landing.
It appears that the economic indicators are missing some portion of the US economy that is keeping it out of recession. Is it perhaps the underground economy in which goods and services are exchanged via cash or perhaps barter? Perhaps these transactions are not being picked up by the economic tracking numbers, because numbers like retails sales and unemployment indicate that we are not in a recession, and unless something changes this winter, we are not heading into a recession.
If Europe can some how stitch together a way to save itself from the debt collapse and China does not slow down too much, then many analysts believe they don’t see the impetus for a recession in the near term. One danger is a conflict with Iran that spikes oil prices, and then hits US consumers and reduces retail spending. If that happens, it could really hurt the US economy.

Palolem, Goa

Palolem Beach is at within 2 kilometres from the market town of Chaudi in the south Goan taluka of Canacona, which is about one hour's drive from the coastal town of Karwar in Karnataka and about 40 minutes from Margao (Main city in South Goa).

The beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself. It is about one mile (approximately 1.61 km) long and is crescent-shaped - one can view the whole beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, it being shallowest at the northern ends of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast.
The beach is featured as the Indian residence of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) in the film The Bourne Supremacy (2004). The initial footage in the movie gives a good idea of the natural beauty of the beach - the distinctive tree covered rocks at one end (known locally as Monkey Island - to which tours are run) and beach shacks.
